3 Little Pigs Play

Kindergarten students at Pleasant View Elementary recently had another field trip.

On Friday, November 1, 2013, all five sections of Kindergarten students visited Stephens Auditorium in Ames, Iowa, to see a performance of “The Three Little Pigs.”

“We compared and contrasted the play with the story we had read,” teacher Lisa Doering said. “In the play, the wolf was kindhearted and wanted to be friends with the pigs. Students had a great time, and we look forward to attending another play in the spring.”

Below are photos sent from Doering and Kindergarten teacher Deb Dunham.

PV’s Purple Lockers

Pleasant View keeps getting nicer and nicer for our students, and one more addition has been added to the school.

“Pleasant View is thrilled and we are showing our Lynx Pride with our brand new purple students lockers,” Pleasant View Elementary Secretary Meredith Mickelson said. “Students now have a neat area to keep their backpacks and coats.”

And there’s even an extra characteristic of these lockers to make them even more organized for students.

“With winter right around the corner, the handy area under the lockers will be put to good use for our wet and snowy snow boots,” she added. “Our hallways look amazing and so tidy since the lockers’ installment.”

According to Mickelson, teachers have personalized the lockers with magnets and other artwork with students’ names on them.

“Thanks, Webster City, for all of our upgrades and improvements at Pleasant View,” she said. “We love them! Go Lynx!”
